The Washington DC Post Committee Chairs and members expand on the SAME mission, vision, and goals and objectives through their dedication and contributions to the Washington DC Post, the Society, and the community. Each committee has its own set of goals and objectives that align with the overall goals and objectives of the Washington DC Post and with those of the Society. Participation in Washington DC Post committees provides members with leadership and a variety of professional development and networking opportunities. The Washington DC Post committees:

• Plan strategic programs and long-term initiatives
• Inform members on industry and SAME news
• Promote joint efforts between the private sector and government agencies to improve partnerships and build relationships
• Encourage young engineers and architects to reach further in their professional development
• Foster networking opportunities for private sector, government, and military members
• Sustain readiness initiatives for our Nation's defense, and support International Action programs
