Education and Training
The Washington DC Post (Chapter) conducts education and training programs that include programs on National Strategy and Homeland Security, Sustainable Design, Managing Risk on Projects, Rebuilding and Reconstruction Initiatives, Readiness Planning, Information Management, Pentagon Renovation and U.S. Capitol Visitors Center Construction Tours, and many others.
Our meetings and programs also support business interests of our Society members. The meetings and programs we feature focus on future program and project outlooks of the military services, as well as the non-military engineering and construction programs.
The Washington DC Post supports our members' licensure and certification initiatives by awarding Professional Development Hours (PDHs) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and provides valuable professional development resources at our programs and seminars and on our web site. The Washington DC Post mentor programs and activities also contribute to the professional development and networking opportunities for our Young Members, Fellows and students.
Washington DC Post members frequently attend seminars and workshops in the DC metropolitan area that focus on A/E/C topics of interest and attend SAME Conferences that bring together SAME members from many different regions, and allow the military service engineers and public and private sector engineers to build professional alliances, promote career development, share the latest technological advancements, and improve communication and relationships.
The Washington DC Post supports the SAME vision: To be the premier global engineering organization leading the professional and personal growth of all members in support of military readiness and the development of solutions to national security challenges.
SAME Engineering and Construction Camp Documents
