National Security Programs and International Action
Strategically responsive, the Washington DC Post supports the SAME mission:
To promote and facilitate engineering support for national security by developing and enhancing relationships and competencies among uniformed services, public and private sector engineers, and related professionals.
The Washington DC Post National Security Programs and Readiness Committee engages our members to continue participating in preparedness initiatives in response to natural disasters and in Dedication to Our National Defense - essential to the security and interests of our members, our industry, and our nation. The Committee focuses on five primary goals: Partnership, Relevance, Education, Planning, Awareness, Recognition, and Evaluation (PREPARE!).
The Washington DC Post Readiness Committee is fully engaged in an active and robust readiness program that includes the maintenance and implementation of a Readiness Plan (Operation Fast Start) to assist federal, state and local government agencies meet contingencies by providing useful Sustaining Member capabilities and resources - in preparation for disaster response and our national preparedness needs.
